Student’s corner blog post
The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has been a challenging time for us all, especially those at University. As students attempt to continue their studies virtually, it is no surprise that there has been widespread reports of students feeling anxious, isolated and alone under the restrictions of lockdown. With learning online and many important student experiences such as year abroads cancelled, it is important to remember to stay positive and connect with fellow students in similar situations.
At the Mind’s Well, we are launching the Student’s Corner as part of our new series of Healing Pods aimed at helping those struggling with their mental health during these challenging times. Join us in the Student’s Corner as we talk about our mental health in a very open and stigma-free way. In this welcoming, virtual space, we will share our experiences allowing you to connect with other student’s in similar positions and forming a network of peers. This online community will act as a source of support and an outlet for those wanting to share or simply listen to other individuals experiences in these stressful times.
The first session takes place Thursday 4th January 2021, running from 7pm – 8:30pm. This introductory session will focus on getting to know those within the group and establishing a supportive environment for everyone attending.
