Elaine is an award-winning PR and communications consultant with 20 years of experience and an emphasised specialism in public relations. With solid capabilities in areas such as campaign planning and implementation, media relations and public affairs, Elaine has extensive experience of the third sector working for two well-known health charities over the past decade.
With proven influencing skills, Elaine has experience in collaborating closely with senior business leaders and partners to promote a company’s principals, goals and thought leadership. With a career spanning both private and the third sector, she is highly experienced in translating briefs with results.
Elaine started her career working with PR agencies where she worked with some of the UK’s leading companies including, Diageo, Scottish Power, RBS, Boots, National Lottery Good Causes. As a strong all-rounder with a keen eye for a human-interest story, she has also held a significant in-house Communications and Press post within the Scottish football sector establishing a results-driven CSR strategy and campaign as well as managing a busy press office. '

Lana is a recent English graduate from the University of Edinburgh with a passion for ending the stigma around talking about our mental health. Her own interest in this area brought her to The Mind’s Well as one of our social media team volunteers. She is an experienced blog writer and social media content producer and is looking to further her skills and experience within the field of digital marketing, she is very excited about being a part of the team here at The Mind’s Well and getting the chance to promote the wonderful work the organisation does.

Bria is a student at the University of Edinburgh studying a Masters in Global Mental Health and Society. She is passionate about working to change the ways in which mental health is approached and treated within society. In particular, she would like to alter societal contexts that initiate or enhance mental health problems, particularly social inequality, as well as promoting treatments which are more tailored to the individual. Her dedication to the mental health movement has been fuelled by both personal experiences, as well as those of friends, family and wider society. Bria also works as a fitness coach at CrossFit gym, and is a qualified Personal Trainer.’

I am a recent Geography graduate from the University of Glasgow. My background studies have influenced my interest in Behavioural Geography, particularly the relationship between nature, urban environments and individual’s mental health and well-being.
I am currently working as a Community Researcher with Fresh Start charity and I am passionate about ending the stigma surrounding mental health topics.
I am delighted to join the Mind’s Well team to help raise awareness and promote their important services. I am also excited to further my skills within the field of social media content production and digital marketing and can’t wait to get involved to help promote Mind’s Well’s vital work.
Social Media Admin Assistant
Heather is a recent Pharmacology graduate from the University of Glasgow. During her time at university, she was extensively involved in fundraising and campaigning work in her role as the Campaigns & Charities Convenor at the student union.
Heather has a particular interest in the areas of gender equality, youth development, environmentalism and mental health. During her time in the convenorship role, she worked collaboratively with national charities such as the Mental Health Foundation and Terrence Higgins Trust, as well as with various student groups to organise fundraising and awareness events for many different causes.
Being motivated by opportunities to make positive, lasting change, Heather was keen to volunteer with The Mind’s Well within the PR and Marketing Team to promote the important work the organisation does as well as further develop her skills in social media marketing and admin.
Passionate about Art, Beauty and Health, Manuel is a self taught Graphic Designer with a fond interest in behavioral sciences, biochemistry and emerging therapeutic medicine paradigms.
With previous experience as E-commerce website manager and Digital marketer, he took this occasion to further develop his skills and he's committed to work with The Mind's Well to help increase awareness and assist to change the way in which mental health is perceived and treated.
